1 pound of beef
1 onion chopped
1 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoons pepper
2 celery chopped
2 garlic
1/2 cups corn
1 potato
1 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoons thyme
1 teaspoons onion powder
1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 heaping tablespoons tomato paste
2 carrots chopped
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 cans of beef consomme
Beef Meat Pie Recipe - The Flaky Pie Crust
In a food processor:
Combine 3 cups of flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
Add one cup and 3 tablespoons of crisco lard to flour then pulse the food processor until the mixture resembles coarse meal
Add in 8 - 12 tablespoons of cold water while you pulse the food processor while combining items
Transfer to the counter or bread board and press to form a dough
Divide the dough into 2 parts
Shape each section into a ball and then flatten the dough slightly to form a disk
Rap in plastic and chill the dough for 1 hour
Beef Meat Pie Recipe - The Beef Pie Filling
In a large pan on medium heat fry the mixture of beef, salt, and pepper until light brown
Add to beef potato, onion, carrot, and celery to the beef mix and let cook for 5 mins
Mix in the corn, garlic, paprika, thyme, onion powder and worcestershire sauce and cook for 5 mins
Mix in tomato paste
Push food aside the meat mixture from the middle of the pan to add the olive oil and flour then mix together
Mix in the beef broth and cook on a low heat until the veggies are done
Beef Meat Pie Recipe - Putting The Beef Pie Together:
Roll out the bottom pie crust and then place it into and covering the pie baking dish
Add in the beef pie filling on top of the pie crust in the baking dish
Roll out the remaining pie dough into a thin layer and place it on top of beef meat pie as shown in my video
Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown or about 25 minutes.
Let cool for 5 - 10 minutes for it to set up before cutting and serving
