How to Make Homemade Thin Noodles

Homemade noodles are simply better than store bought noodles and once you try these noodles you will never want to go back to using store bought noodles. The homemade noodles in this recipe are excellent for use in your favorite soup or other dishes.



Homemade Thin Noodles - The Recipe

In a bowl add together:

  • 4 egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup water (whisk egg and water)
  • 1 cup flour
  • Mix together, and then knead dough for 10 minutes
  • Wrap the dough in a kitchen towel let sit for 1/2 hour

  • Cut the dough in half
  • Roll out dough thin or use a pasta maker machine
  • If you use the machine set the dial to number 7 (thickness)
  • Use extra flour to coat the pasta if needed, the dough can not be sticky when rolling it though the machine.
  • Pass it through the spaghetti slot and cut it as long as you like

  • On the counter put lots of flour on the spaghetti, and then let the spaghetti dry out a bit.
  • In a large pot bring the water to a boil and add salt
  • It takes only about a minute to cook the noodles and for them to be ready to eat
